Last year, My wife (45yrs) used 4 bottles of "STRENGTH PLUS" (an ayurvedic lehyam produced in kerala, India) for weight gaining and gained a couple of kgs weight as she wanted.She is 67kg now. Now her blood cholesterol (total)found to be 250. ldl-174, HDL->45, and dr. prescribed the tablet - AVAS 10 My question: is it necessary to use this tablet LIFE LONG, to reduce the cholesterol...? what will be side effects of Avas 10 Tablets if we consume for longer period?

I am 73 and the doc has prescribed this one tab after food. I already have severe joint pains and legs are paining alwaus. Is it still recommended to take this AVAS 10 mgm????
