I AM HAVING A LUPUS FLARE. I AM SO FATIGUED I CAN'T DO ANYTHING, THE NAUSEA IS SO BAD, I CAN'T EAT. I'M DOWN TO 90 LBS (FOR MY HEIGHT, I SHOULD WEIGH 120 LBS). MY DR. PUT ME ON PLAQUENIL, EVEN THOUGH I WAS ADAMANT THAT I WANTED TO TAKE ATABRINE BECAUSE IT WORKED SO WELL FOR ME THE LAST TIME I HAD A FLARE. HE AT FIRST SAID THAT HE HAD NEVER EVEN HEARD OF IT BEFORE. I WAS STUNNED. I WAS EVEN MORE STUNNED WHEN MY DOCTOR, (YES, IN CASE YOU ARE WONDERING, HE IS A RHEUMATOLOGIST) NEVER EVEN TRIED TO GET IT FOR ME. HE SAID ITS NOT AVAILABLE. I KNOW THAT THAT IS NOT TRUE, I JUST DON'T KNOW HOW TO GET IT. ANYWAY, THE PLAQUENIL IS NOT WORKING, AND I AM GETTING WORSE. I CALLED LAST WEEK AND TALKED TO HIS NURSE, AND TOLD HER ABOUT WHAT WAS GOING ON. SHE CALLED ME BACK AND SAID THAT ...
