Any Drug Better Than Aten 50

I was taking Amlodipine Besylate 10mg for about a year or so and my blood pressure is under control now. I have gone to a new doctor who put me on Atenolol 50mg because I was told one of the side effects can slow your heartbeat & I was concerned... Wondering which one is a better medicine when it comes to side effects? ## Hello, Kevin! How are you? I don't want to take any meddication manufactured in India, China, Sudan,or any third world countries, I want to Ingest, eat and wear only products manufactured in the USA please HELP! ## HI, Lucile! However, I think that you are going to run into problems if you try to do this with your medication. A pharmacy isn't going to let you pick whose Atenolol you receive to fill your prescription. They generally stock whichever one was offering the cheapest price at the time they needed to reorder and that's the one you get, when you go in for a refill. I was on Atenolol from 2002 to 2017. Then there was a "shortage". The new Atenolol is absolutely NOT the same. If it was, I wouldn't have to take 9, that's right 9 50mg tablets of metoprolols with the Atenolol. I've told my Doctor. He either doesn't believe me, or doesn't care. With my hand on a Bible.... Is it okay to take Losartan100 mg, and 50mg Atenolol? What time of day should each be taken? I also take requip. Is there any interaction with Losartin or Atenolol? ## Hello, Nancy! How are you? If your doctor has prescribed both the Atenolol and Losartan for you and are monitoring you, it should be fine. Multiple blood pressure/cardiac medications are often prescribe, if someone has high blood pressure that may put them in danger, or to get better control of a cardiac condition. I woke up with a uti this morning,thought I felt it coming on yesterday. I haven't had one like this in twenty years. Burning some blood in my urine. Started drinking cranberry juice the blood is less now almost gone.
