Anxiety Doctors
100+ Topics FoundIhave been taking xanax the past 18 years only as needed. This medication not only helps with my severe anxiety and anger problems. My current doctor for the past 2.5 years has been giving me xanax to take twice a day for a 30 day supply and this usually last me about 6months. Well my PCP has been instructed by his NP that new guidelines state he cant prescribe xanax but klonopin is ok. Is this truely a guidline in MS or simply a recommendation? As I can not find any literature confirming this. Although the klonopin is working ok it takes hours for my anger to subside when it would be immediate with xanax. My other complaint is that klonopin has a longer half life and remains in my body longer than xanax causing me to be extremely sleepy the morning after taking the klonopin but never h...
Hello, I have moved to New Orleans from Dallas, I am on 1mg of Xanax 2 times a day, I typically break them in half and take them as needed, I'm running low on my prescription and need a refill quickly. My insurance is Texas based so it won't work in Lousiana, can someone point me in the direction of a doctor that can help me?
Filed under XanaxI need help locating a doctor to write me a prescription for Xanax and Percocet in Utah. I would even drive to Arizona if I had to. My doctor lost his license after prescribing these to me for 6 yrs and now I can't seem to find another doctor that will write for them or take chronic patients. ## Well, one of the biggest problems you're creating for yourself is due to the fact that you are looking/asking for specific medications. Regardless of whether or not they treat chronic patients, almost every doctor out there is going to view this as drug seeking behavior. A doctor expects to make the decisions on what the appropriate treatments and medications would be. The best thing you can do is to let your medical records speak for themselves. A doctor will be more inclined to follow ...
Hello!!! This is a question for my mother, not me. She doesn't know how to use 'Net. She is in her late 40's and has horrible anxiety, and chronic pain [endo, back problems, cervix problems, fibroid, currently has sprained/bruised rib, and her uterus is backwards from giving birth to me, good job, me!] She was on oxycodone 7.5 but she lost one of her pain specialists because they accused her of "stealing" a bottle of oxys that were supposed to be for her upcoming surgery [hysterectomy] but we had problems w/insurance. They wouldn't cover the surgery but she had already filled the pills, so they said she stole them even though she said she'd give them back, but they said no, you shouldn't have filled them in the first place. So she got kicked out. Anyways,...
I've been on 2 mg xanax for over 8 years. Now my doctor is a suboxone doctor and released me after 8 yrs. Ive never abused this drug and am getting sick from not having it. I need a new doctor in the Pittsburgh area to help me. ## Can anyone recommend a Pittsburgh Pa doctor that will write for ambien for severe insomnia and anxiety? I've been suffering for years and have been unsuccessful with getting any help.
Been diagnosed and on xanax for 7 years but in voting to Washington I don't even know where to start? I will go into convulsions if I don't find ## Who are you voting for? What are you diagnosed with? Any Medical Doctor can help and the E.R. can help too if you get sick ## Have you found anyone yet? We are in the same boat. Just moved here (Seattle) and my wife takes Klonopin for Panic Disorder. Having trouble finding a doctor who will continue her treatment.
My dr. Wants me to stop my 200mg trazadone taken nightly for depression anxiety and sleep. And start taking 15 mg temazepam at night. Is it safe to just stop the trazadone like that. ## Hello, Scared! How are you? Stopping it abruptly might cause some withdrawal and rebound effects, but your doctor might be hoping to stave those off with the addition of the Temazepam. It is a benzodiazepine that can be used to treat the same types of problems, but it does carry the risk of being habit forming. It may also cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. Learn more Temazepam details here. Have you discussed your concerns with your doctor?
I have a chronic pain condition which is Interstitial cystitis (IC) I will not take oxycodone because I was on it for 4 years and it worked great for my pain but I had to keep upping the dosage and became addicted. So now I am on a different pain medication called the Butrans patch and even though it doesn't help as much as I would like it to, it helps with my daily life. So I am able to still do normal daily things. I also have back pain, I am not sure what it is from but the patch does nothing for that either. I am looking for a doctor who would have no problem prescribing me Zanaflex. I tried it once before and it helped tremendously (along with the patch). My other problem is anxiety, my doctor was prescribing me 2mg xanax twice daily. (My mother went into the appointment and ba...
I need help finding doctor in dallas willing to prescribe xanax or klonopin. These qre the only drugs that help my anxiety, insomnia & also depression. I feel like a guinea pig w/ all these different drugs because the doctors ive seen dont want 2 prescribe benzos. its so frustrating because i know benzos work for me. Can someone help me find a doc in dallas willing to prescribe benzos? ## Hello, Damon! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. It is normal for doctors to want to try other options first, before resorting to possibly habit forming medications. Thus, most are going to want you try the others and then proceed from there, if they don't work for you. Additio...
need valium 10mg perscription for wife need opana 40mg prescription fof self ## Hello, James! How are you? Due to the new regulations that were put in place last year by the DEA, you'll both need to see specialists to have such medications prescribed on a long-term ongoing basis, which likely means a psychiatrist for your wife and a pain management specialist for you. The FDA lists both these medications as having the potential to be habit forming and they may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and drowsiness. Do you currently have a PCP that you see regularly that might be able to refer you to someone? If so, that might be the quickest and easiest way to find the help you need. Can anyone recommend good doctors in that area?
I live in central new jersey, and lost my dr. of 10 years. I did 5 years in physical therapy for some issues. I am now forced to leave my dr. and desperately need another immediately. I need him/her to prescribe my xanax and restart my pain pills. I will be out of xanax in a week. Please help me find a doctor who will easily prescribe these medications. ## Hello, Suzie! How are you? Why are you leaving your current doctor? Due to the new regulations that were put in place, if you require such medications on a long-term ongoing basis, you'll need to see specialists. Can anyone recommend good doctors in that area? ## Had to leave her because we became personal friends and she has become way too involved in my life. It's complicated but this leaves me in an awful position. Besides ...
I recently moved to Gadsden area and I am looking for a good PCP that is not judgmental and/or a psychiatrist that is not afraid to right scripts to treat anxiety and ADHD. My previous PCP managed my symptoms with Xanax, Adderall and Oxycodone but from what I have heard most docs in AL do not write meds to help and send you to all kinds of specialist. If anyone has recommendations of doctors in AL please let me know. If it is a sincere doctor I would drive as far as Huntsville, Guntersville or even Birmingham. Please help the new chic on the block.... ## Hello, Bama Chic! How are you? The doctors no longer have a choice in this matter, due to the new regulations that were put in place last year. If you require any type of controlled substance on a long-term ongoing basis, you'll hav...
Need an pain clinic too treat my pain i have had 2 knee surgerys and taken 2-3 Norco 10 is not treating my pain i also have back pain ## Try TVPC/Spine and Neuro Center in Huntsville. Dr Morris Scherlis is my anesthesiologist and he is great. My only issue with them really is that for office visits I have to see one of his two staff members and the guy(Greg) is kind of an ass. Sorta condescending and suspicious of patients it seems. Also, I have a few other issues besides my back/sciatic pain and I was on several different meds for it including Ativan for anxiety/stress and ambien for sleeping problems due to my pain...I've weaned myself off both of them in the past year and done the same with my muscle relaxers. I was so sick of taking so much medication I just had to do something....
I have been diagnosed with ptsd by two different doctors after the suicide of my husband. these doctors will only give me benadryl for anxiety with an antidepressant. the benadryl only makes me sleepy. ## Hello, Bsquirrel! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. What antidepressant have they given you? Many of them are effective at treating anxiety and are the preferred treatment choice, because it helps keep it under control all the time, unlike many of the other medications that are only taken as needed. ## you need Prazosin my dear... will take away your nightmares. antidepressants are garbage i think. the blood pressure medication works very good for night mares
Im on work comp for two herniated discs. Doctors have me on Percocet 10 and zanaflex. Body adjusting. I also am prescribed 3mg of xanax daily along with zoloft for anxiety. Would this pill help if I were to ask? I dont want to take pills that can become habit forming like this. AndI know my tolerance is going up. Can someone please give me an honest answer. Thank you so much ## The Oxycodone in the Percocet is very strong and taking the Xanax into consideration, as well, I really doubt that the Marinol would help you much. Learn more Marinol details here. It's just really not been made with the intention of treating severe issues and it's potency really pales in comparison to what you are already taking. Are there any other questions or comments?

My mother started on Xaralto on May 10th. She was hospitalized for blood clots. She has since been in the hospital two times in a week for severe anxiety...over the top. She stays very nauseous now too. I have asked the doctors to put her on Coumadin to see if this relieves these issues. She is ready to die because of these issues. ## Hello, BB! I am very sorry about what your mother has been going through. Yes, the FDA does warn that Xarelto has been known to cause severe anxiety in some people that take it, along with other side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, weight changes, increased risk of bleeding, and easy bruising. What did they say about putting her on Coumadin? Is she on any other medications?

I have Medicaid & I'm under a lot of stress & need a dr to prescribe Xanax in the Dallas Texas area. They have to accept Medicaid as I have no insurance. ## Medicaid Rules are Wild. Xanax for Children! Texas has a handful of physicians taking advantage of Medicaid rules by prescribing inappropriate medications for children. This is not only bad for the kids, but eats up Medicaid money that should go to other people. The problem was detailed in an editorial in the Fort Worth Star Telegram. Here are excerpts: With little oversight and apparent carte blanche, a relative handful of Texas physicians wrote $47 million worth of Medicaid prescriptions for powerful antipsychotic and anti-anxiety drugs over the past two years, according to a Star-Telegram analysis. The top five doctor...
