Antibiotic For Throat Infection

I've been having a sore throat for the past few days. The symptoms got worse every day. I started to sneeze, cough, and got a fever. I filled a prescription for some Penicillin called Ampicillina 500 mg per capsule from Mexico. I was instructed to take them every 8 hours, however, 3 pills a day seemed a bit much for me so I took one at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23rd, and then another one 8 hours later. The next dose would have been at 7:00 a.m., on Wednesday, May 24th, but I didn't take one till 9:30 a.m.. I forgot to take another 8 hours later, and I remembered this at 10:39 p.m., so I took another dose at 10:39 p.m.. I set an alarm this time but must have slept through it as I didn't wake up until 8:30 a.m., and I took the next dose at 8:39 a.m.. I do feel worse today, howeve...

I finished cipro 2 days ago for a UTI. Now I have sinus drip, scratchy throat and wheezing. Is it ok to take amoxicillin 500? ## You should take it, if your doctor has instructed you to do so, it can be far more risky to let an infection continue out of control. is nitrofurantoin useful for throat infection?? ## Nitrofurantoin is an antibiotic. It is usually used in treating urinary tract infection. Like many other drugs, it is often used for killing E Coli. i was recently prescribed bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) for an infected burn. on the second day, i woke up with a really sore throat. by night, i had a fever, and the next morning, i had a sinus infection--which i used to get chronically from about 11 years ago, up until 4 years ago, in which time ive only had one. a day later i had a productive cough, semi bad but nowhere near as bad as the bronchitus the sinus infections would, after months, eventually turn into. those infectionswere clearly bacterial as whenever I did end up taking antibiotics, they always ended within a few days. i thought trimethorim was for water in fections, have been given for a throat infection, is this right ## It is an antibiotic and, as such, it is effective at treating several different types of infections, not just those of the urinary tract. Hi, my 10 month old son has an ear infection and was given Pinamox. He also has a chest infection, alot of phelgm on the chest and a hard cough.
