## I'm having muscleaches all over my body, I'm taking antenolol and lisinopril for high bloodpressure, I have been on the meds for about 7 1/2 years ever since after my daughter was born, along with hair loss , fatigue and depression bouts. I was just given antenolol chlorthalidone 1per day and Potassium cl 10 MEQ ER i tab. per day my potassium level is fine but when i was on the antenolol before my potassium level dropped so they don't want that to happen so will taking this potassium pill result in high levels is it safe to take i am 70 yrs old ## Hello, Dorothy! My doctor spoke against the Antenolol drug but has specified Nebicard 5mg as an option. Both are beta blockers, but which one will have the least side effects? ## Atenolol is an old drug but the only bet blocker I can tolerate. I don't have edema in my feet anymore and I have more energy and less depression than with anything else. It also does the job for me just as well as any other drug. I take 50 mg twice a day along with a diuretic and my pressure is usually in the 120s or 80s even being over 100 lbs overweight. ## bhushan, since they are both in the same drug class, they both pretty much carry the same side effect risks, such as nausea, headache, dizziness and stomach pain.
