I have been taking Percocet 10/325 for years. Recently, I had to get it filled at Target and it's made by Alvogen. Normally, I fill my scripts at Walmart but they were out. I have developed welts and they started the same time I switched to this brand. Is it possible to be allergic to one of the inactive ingredients that is not in the Watson brand from Walmart? ## Hi, Chris! Sorry about the problem that you're having. And yes, it is possible to be allergic to an inactive ingredient. They are considered inactive because they don't have a medial/biological effect on most people, but it is well known that some people react to some of the dyes used, some gluten based substances, as well as others. I have a torn disc, herniated disc, buldging disc, dislocated collarbone, sciatica and carpal tunnel. I had the carpal tunnel surgery and sounal fusion to remove torn disc and replace with titanium rods and screws. The only meds that work is the ENDOCET 10/325 an Valium 2.5. Trying ALVOGEN today for the first time, literally 2 hrs ago. So far ok. HOWEVER, you all are correct. If the manufacturer is not good forget about it. I took qualitest and had sweats worse than a basketball player and AMNEAL was like eating tic-tacs. The ENDOCET not only did the job but I too was left with a few extras for my next dr visit. These manufacturers care about 1 thing $$$. After the AMNEAL and QUALITEST nightmare, I wrote the FDA and the manufacturer and let my pharmacist know if thats what you have I...

S*** what happen to DuPont they too big to keep customers happy? I had enough. I'm going to ask my doctor to give me morphine. Or back on methadone. Even though they are hard to get off of. That makes five different types of Percocet 10 I had. Watson is the only way. I just do not understand. I guess I have to look overseas. Usa meds suck ## @James, You know big pharma is really making things difficult for pain patients, especially when pharmacies keep switching between different manufacturers to try and save a few bucks out of the hundreds of millions they make in profit every year. I take Percocet all the time every 6 hours. This time i noticed the pill was round instead of oblong and has 230 on one side. This pill is worthless, I feel absolutely nothing. NO PAIN RELIEF AT ALL. This pill is a fake, a sugar pill or something. I paid $91 dollars cash for this, now i'm broke with no medication. There is no medical properties in this pill what so ever. I've been ripped off like some common drug pusher. How do I live now? It doesnt have APAP in the description. Please help me. ASAP - I feel something is wrong. ## Hi, Babydoll! I understand your confusion, but it is the same medication. The new one you've received has just been manufactured by a different company. The 325 still designates the APAP in it, which is just medical speak for Acetaminophen and the 10 stands for the amount of Oxycodone, this is a generic for Percocet. Learn more Percocet details here. I have been taking Percocet 10/ 325 for a few years now along with flexeril 10 due to crushed and slipped discs in my neck and back. And need both knees replaced. I have had different generic brands of this medication, but since i got these past two times , i thought i had built up a tollerance or something but these do not seem to be working at all. Funny thing my aunt takes them also but gets another brand and they work just fine. So i would have to say these are somehow not working and it sounds like the company needs to get this checked out... Because it seems a lot of people have an issue with this brand not working properly. ## Use mallinckrodt, or a yellow percocet. All of the percocet are made overseas. It doesn"t have apap in the decription. Please help me. ASAP - I feel something is wrong. ## Hi, Babydoll! Sorry about the confusion. No, there is no difference in the medication, Alvogen is just another manufacturer of generic medications. There is a noticeable difference in the pain relief level. Chronic Arthritis has left me virtually an invalid. Without these meds I have extreme difficulty moving and sometimes merely being at rest. I find the same prescription filled with Midlothian mgf to be less effective than the generic manufactured by Alvogen. Is there a difference in the formulation? Is there a possibility the midlothian brand is counterfeit? Prescription filled by Publix, usually from Alvogen but occasional from Midlothian. Hence the question. ## Under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, generics are allowed to differ from the name brand by as much as plus or minus 20% in the amount of the active ingredients, sometimes problems arise, because they do not have to measure against each other, only against the name brand....

Alvogen Percocet (generic manufacturer) has worked very effectively for me, for 9 years. I am in search of this particular generic brand in the Palm Beach, FLA. Area. My Publix pharmacy does not stock this brand anymore and thus switched to a different generic brand.

I take percocet for dental issues and Fibromalgia. Normally this medication gets rid of my pain. However, I can tell this brand is not as effective. Has anyone else experienced this issue with Alvogen 10/325? ## Hello, Cat! How are you? Yes, there have been other complaints, though some people have found it to work well for them. What types of problems are you having, is it just not as effective or are you also having other symptoms? This medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

I have two different yellow c 230s side by side and with the 230 straight across lined up side to side and flip perfectly around and the c's don't line up and one has specs of something and looks old and the are not hard hard nor do they snap when broken. ...? ??? ## The pill description you provided is indicative of generic 10/325 Oxycodone HCL + Acetaminophen; made by Alvogen. For verification, the pill itself carries a National Drug Code of 47781-230. I don't know how they feel or what they look like when they're broken, but if you received these from a licensed pharmacy, you can be sure they are real. What color are Percocet 10/325mg? Is there a 10/325mg Percocet that's white, round & has 230 on one side & a C on the other? ## A "yellow" round pill with a large C on one side and 230 on the other reportedly contains Acetaminophen (325mg) + Oxycodone hydrochloride (10mg); the generic for Percocet. For verification, the manufacturer is Alvogen Inc. and the pill itself carries a National Drug Code of 47781-0230. I have yet to see a legitimate white version of this pill, however I do know that colors and shapes are subject to change at the whit and whim of the manufacturer. Alvogen 10/325 any one else feel it is not controlling their pain as well as other brands. Thanks for your input. ## Hi Annie, I have not tried the Alvogen brand specifically, but according to other related threads on here, Endo Pharmaceuticals is touted as having one of the best working Percocet tablets by comparison. My theory is that one or more of the binders/fillers that Alvogen tabs are composed of aren't able to sufficiently metabolize in our body, thus leaving part of the active ingredient(s) lying dormant within. I don't know if this makes much sense to anyone else who may be reading, but it seems like a feasible possibility since each manufacturer uses a different set of inactive ingredients. ## Thank you very much for answering my question, in your opion it will work ...

We got a yellow round pill with 230 on it and really can't describe what's on the other side. ## Hello, Jen! How are you? No worries, I know exactly what you're talking about, it's actually an Asian C, which is a logo used by Alvogen on some of their prescription medications. The one with the number 230 on the opposite side is listed by them as containing 325mgs of Acetaminophen and 10mgs of Oxycodone. You can view the resource with the description of it at this reference NDC code 47781-230. Went for my new prescription of Percocet today. Saw a P/A. Was given a totally new script: Alvogen Oxycod/ACET 10mg/325mg. Lower left bottom yellow label states 10mg oxycodone HCI is equivalent to 8.9637mg of oxycodone. This medicine is not working at all. Whats wrong? ## There can be differences from one generic medication to another, as was granted by the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, they are allowed to differ by as much as plus or minus 20% in the amount of the active ingredients. what's the difference in the different shapes and colors and printed numbers on Percocets? ## Hi Sharon, A round yellow pill marked with "C 230" is reported to be a generic version of Percocet containing 10mgs of Oxycodone hydrochloride + 325mgs of Acetaminophen, used for moderate to severe pain. And this particular pill is manufactured by a company called Alvogen.
