I have been taking Alprax0.50mg for the past ten years OD. But now i am not having deep sleep as i am a spondyloarthropathy patient. As per our Doctor advice i am taking Zolpeace 5mg OD along with Alprax0.50mg. But there is no effect. Along with these two tablets i am also taking Ativan 1mg OD. Will there be any side effect on this?. Please give your advice. ## Definitely there are side effects. But now ur body is habitual of these drugs. In later stages as the time progresses you need to increase the dosage of these drugs to get the same effects. Memory loss is a very common side effect, drowsiness, sleeping disorder, sudden unconsciousness, headache & many more. Better to avoid taking these drugs. Try to get sleep naturally & try to spend more time in office or some other work...

I was taking restyl from the past two months.. this month the medicine shop ppl gave me alprax instead of restyl.. I had gone through some discomfort.. Then i noticed the medicine was changed.. Will this cause any change or difference? ## They are different medications, but in the same drug class and used to treat the same conditions. Please let me know if I can discontinue Alprax 0.25mg after having taken 1 tablet every night before sleep for last 3 months due to some anxiety? Will there be any withdrawal symptoms to speak of? ## It is best to do it via a slow taper, under your doctor's supervision, because stopping it suddenly may create the risk of seizures, according to the U.S. FDA. It can also be habit forming, so suddenly stopping might cause other withdrawal effects. Are you on any other medications?

I am 35+, female, and have recently started trying for conception. I used to take alprax (alprazolam) for anxiety and sleep disorders and it is been months since i left taking those. My fertile window starts from today and i took alprax .5mg yesterday night, as was not able to sleep durong night from last 3-4 days(i forgot about the possible side effects and fertile window approaching)... My concern is, when should i start trying for conception to ensure that one tablet does not affect the fetus in case i conceive in this cycle... should i miss 1-2 days in this cycle ? I've been working a regular night shift since January, but in the day time I have not been getting sleep so i started to take zolfresh 5mg per day before sleeping and it is not working effectively.
