Both the XR and SR are just different abbreviations that stand for the same thing, they denote it as a controlled release medication. Some other abbreviations used for the same thing are ER and CR. Mine white 1mg arrive in blister packs with the name Tranex-1.on the packs. They are oval and can be split. Package comes from India. No, I’ve been taking this medication for almost 10 years and it’s only recently come to my attention that there is a ODT or orally dispensing tablet version of this medication and I’m wondering if anybody has any experience with it because with my panic disorder it’s difficult waiting the hour for my pillow to come on whereas I feel like this would happen much quicker. However, post # 1 is correct about the possibility of either dosage varying by plus or minus 20%. From what I understand, that's the amount of wiggle room generic meds are allowed to have. Furthermore, this doesn't even take into account the different inactive ingredients (including their quality), which play a known role in how well we metabolize/absorb the tablet as a whole. All the professionals say there are no difference between generics. I just switched from Dava 1 milligram alprazolam to the same made by Activis.
