Is Allopurinol mfg by qualitest gluten free? ## Hi edb, From what I could gather, Allopurinol from Qualitest contains the following inactive ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose and sodium starch glycolate. Unfortunately, "sodium starch glycolate" is heavily regarded as a questionable substance for those with a gluten intolerance; since it is derived from starch. So I personally wouldn't recommend taking it without your doctor's prior consensus. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Allopurinol Details I hope this helps! ## I got a new script of Allopurinol 300mg by Accord and need to know if it's gluten free? I've been on Allopurinol 300mg once a day since early 90's, with no side effects at all. I have not had a kidney stone since I've been on the Medication. Two weeks ago I refilled my prescription and the medication that I usually get is from Ingenus. Much too my surprise I got Accord instead, from my Walgreens Pharmacy and after a few days I noticed that I was getting constipated. Ingenus has discontinued Allopurinol. I know that side effects from Allopurinol never mention constipation and I was wondring if the cause could be the fillers and binding agents. Have anybody run into constipation with Allopurinol? What manufacturer would be a better alternative to Accord for thiis drug. Any help would be greatly appreciated. ## Sorry to hear about your situation. According to NIH,...

4~ 3/8" orange pills were packed in a bottle of Atorvastatin pills which were small white ovals. One side had no markings and the other had 2084 over a V & they are scored for easily cutting. Just wonder how dangerous these may have been if my husband just happened to shake one out of the bottle.
