what for the medicine is used? ## I was having a burning sensation after urination for last few days which continues for a brief period. This is however intermittent and doesn't occur evertime i urinate. I was wondering if i can take alkasol for few days and if there is any side effects owing to the use of the same. ## this site is not medical professionals, so we cannot possibly advise on what medication would be proper to use, it really depends on your overall health, the condition in question and any other medications you may be on. Hello, trying to fill my script for Belladonna Alkaloids/Bellamine-S. My former physician gave to me for hot flashes and sweating which provided much needed relief. Literally, I was able to return to my normal daily functioning. This is key as I am a twenty four hour caregiver to my autistic daughter. My new provider does not believe in this, and won't prescribe for me. Nothing has changed in my drug regimen, as was with former provider. Accidentally forgot I had taken alka seltzer plus cold at 6 pm and took two Motrin pm at 8. Head cold has me not thinking. ## Hello, KW! How are you? Did you suffer any adverse events? I have been diagnosed with enterococcus infection in my urine. After doing sensitivity evaluations, nitrofurantoin was advised to me by the doctor. In addition I was prescribed alkasol. When I went to buy alkasol, the chemist gave me K-2 whose composition is potassium citrate and magnesium citrate. He told me that k2 is the same as alkasol. Is it true? Can I take k2 instead of alkasol?

Can I take 500 mg of Levofloxacin (prescribed for bronchitis) along with Alka Seltzer Non-Drowsy Day & Night Multi Symptom Cold Formula (for flu-like symptoms)? ## What has your physician advised? I am currently waiting for a 3 operation to remove bladder cancer and I was wondering if Nexavar was any useful to stop bladder cancer growing and if I could take it. I hope for a quick anwer, thanks. ## Nexavar is a drug approved for the treatment of primary kidney cancer (advanced renal cell carcinoma) and advanced primary liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma). In my opinion, it sounds like it may be worth a shot to try it and see how it works for you over the coarse of a few weeks. This should be enough time to assess its effectiveness. In addition to this, I would also strongly suggest eating a diet comprised of mostly fresh fruits and vegetables, as in my opinion, eating alkaline foods may be the most helpful in fighting any form of cancer. Hi, ive taken Adderall for a few years and also opiates for several years with xanax. Recently ive had sulphur burps awful smelling burps which lead to bubble guts lil stomach growling eventually vomiting and runs. I have taken 20mg of adderall and would now like to take a 37mg phentermine. Is this ok? ## It generally isn't advisable, due to the fact that they are both stimulants, so combining them can result in elevated blood pressure and heart rate, which may put you at risk of a heart attach or stroke. ## 20 mg of adderall should give you intense effects if you are not a daily prescription user. If you are trying to increase the stimulant effect I would suggest against the phentermine and trying taking tums or some form of bicarbonate 30-60 mins prior to adderall to increase absorption. Also, a diet high in acidity (especially soda) will greatly decrease absorption of the drug. Try eating more alkaline foods (carrots, beets, bread). I own a CrossFit gym and workout 1-2 times a day. At least one metabolic conditioning workout in addition to lifting 1-2x per day. My metabolism is high due not only to my activity but also my diet. I try to keep my diet alkaline in order to keep the meds in my system longer, but the more active I get (this uptick in activity is fairly recent) the less effective my meds are. On my next appt, I'm thinking about asking for an increase in dosage. I take 20mg ir 2x/day. What would be a reasonable request for dosage increase to a VERY conservative doc (in a conservative town, tough to find good adderall docs)? And, since my body is metabolizing it faster, will an increase in mg or frequency have the same detrimental effects of increasing dosage under normal circumstances? Also, I am not ...

i'm on coumadin for blood clots and recently had surgery they put me on oxycodone 10 mg.tabs for pain and know switched me to percocet which contains acetaminophen should i be concerned? i guess what i'm asking is which is better to take with warfin? ## John, I take Warfarin and haven't been able to add or subtract anything without doing a series of the INR so that the Warfarin could be adjusted if needed. Is the doctor who prescribed the pain medication, the same doctor who put you on Warfarin? If not, I would call the doctor who is treating the blood clots to see if you need to check (INR) or what. Even Alka Selzer can effect how thin your blood is.

It has been prescribed for alleviating them for many years, but testing didn't actually prove it to be effective, so as a treatment of hot flashes and the symptoms of peri or full menopause, it generally isn't recommended anymore. Many women get much better relief from Evening Primrose and Black Cohosh, some even add the natural Progesterone creams. All of these are available over the counter, but you should check with your doctor, before using any of them.
