medium pill with G17 on it. ## just wanted to know what it is ## I'm thinkin it's naproxen/asprin but I'm not sure ## It contains 220mgs of Naproxen, a generic for Aleve, it is available over the counter. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including stomach irritation, increased risk of bleeding, nausea, and stomach irritation. Is there anything I can help with?

I take high BP medicine and also acid reflux medicine and low dose asprin everyday. My doctor presribed 7.5MG of Meloxicam for arthritis. I have had several mini-strokes that affects my speech and I also break out when I take aleve, is this safe to take? ## Hello, Sheryl! How are you doing? I am very sorry about your various health issues. Was it prescribed by your PCP? If so, I'd suggest not taking it, until you check with whatever other doctor you see for your strokes. It can cause blood thinning, according to the FDA, so it may be contraindicated with your other medications. It can also cause elevated blood pressure, as a side effect. It would be best to be cautious.

I have a blue egg shaped pill with the impression G17 on it. NSAIDS, such as Aleve, ASPRIN, ibuprofen, and prescribed NSAIDS are considered meds that can thin the blood as well as your typical blood thinners...... Coumadin, heparin, etc.
