My fiance used abuterol for years, and I know used it as needed as prescribed by the physician, he used it well more than advised and never once had a false positive. He had severe asthma, was on two types of inhalers, two types of medicine for nebulizer plus oral medication. I know he was tested several times a month, not one positive result. ## If you want to see a false positive result, try using Albuterol (specifically Ventolin) within a 24 Hr period with a professional drug test. I was told I failed a drug screen and must take all medications in to check them. I take advair, ipratropium, and albuterol inhaler for asthma. I also take allegra D and benadryl for allergies. I sometimes take an over the counter diet pill called phentramin D. Would any of these cause false positives on a standard UA? ## What did you fail for? Firstly, I am 150lbs overweight. I use albuterol solution in a nebulizer everyday. I also have lung/heart disease so bad my pro air albuterol inhaler is a PRN rx. I also am diabetic and take glipzide, victoza and metformin and I have hypothyroidism. Is there any way I could ever pass an ETG alcohol test? I go to pain management. They had tested me and said I was dirty for methamphetamine. Now they say they cant give me my meds. But I don't use meth or any drugs. I believe that certain asthma medications can indeed affect drug tests. Do you see different doctors for the pain management versus asthma medication? I used ventolin inhaler and I get drug tested every month. I've been clean for almost three years. Usually I just use the albuterol inhaler and never tested positive, then I used the one with ventolin and I tested positive three times in a row and the Dr told me I was lying because she took three tests. Taking robitussin, nyquil, extra-strength aleve, sudafed, sudafed pm, cold/flu alka-seltzer, aspirin, tylenol, ibuprofen, norco, afrin, albuterol sulfate inhalant, Ipratopium bromide and albuterol sulfate inhalant, and afrin. I tested positive for cocaine during a recent swab test for pain management. Never used the drug before in my life. I currently take hydrocodone 5mg 4x, albuterol inhaler, ranitadine, vistaril, chantix, mobic, gabapentin and i have a medical marijuana card. I was recently on doxycycline, and nizoral cream. My husband has been on albuterol breathing treatments, mucinex, adderall and several other prescription meds and just tested positive for both amphetamines and methamphetamine. Can the combination cause a false positive for methamphetamine? ## Adderall shows up as both if it's a legal perception your husband has he just has to show it.
