Adderall is used in the treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and narcolepsy. It is also used as an athletic performance enhancer, cognitive enhancer, appetite suppressant, and recreationally as an aphrodisiac and euphoriant. I recently got the pink round 30 mg tablets and I find they make me tense up a lot more... sore muscles, shaky, hard to get motivated because I'm so distracted from the negative side effects... The only way I like this brand is if I take a Benzo with them to counteract. ## Hi, I think because there is a shortage right now, they are giving out corr brand vs teva(the orange ovals). The only thing I DO like about the pink ones is that they work super fast, like in 10-15 min, where the orange ones take around 45-1 hr. trying to find a doctor who will prescribe easily in NJ, who wont ask any questions ## Hi lexie, To my knowledge, virtually any type of doctor can see you for ADHD (pediatrician, psychiatrist, regular MD). Whether or not they want to pursue treatment is up to them and if so they might go for another medication rather than Adderall. Chances are if you walk in and say you have ADHD, then ask for an Adderall script you won't get it because it is seen as what they call "drug seeking behavior". Also, you can't expect them to not ask any questions, because that is essentially part of their job in making sure they give you the right medication and aren't just handing it over to someone who only wants to abuse it. The preferred current disposal method is to mix them with some undesirable substance, such as used coffee grounds or dirty kitty litter, place the mess into a sealed container, such as a coffee can and then dispose of it with your regular garbage. I have recently started taking adderall 10mg IR. I was wondering how long the side affects last? I think it may make my anxiety a little worse, but it's like a belly ache anxiety not like my regular paranoid anxiety. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or input. How does everyone find the Extended Release (XR, ER) version of Adderall to work when compared to the Immediate Release (IR)? ## Adderall XR, maybe I got a bad generic but it's crap, it does not reveal in your system. I hate all XR meds they are awful. My doctor put me on reg Adderall and the quality is night and day, reg last 4 hours that's okay. I take another one, and get the same quality. The xr is weak and seems to last a shorter time than the IR. Everybody is different I know, and I'm no doctor, so take what your prescribed, and please do not abuse drugs, take it like its prescribed. It works trust me. I'm from Texas and I'm wondering if any of you guys have been notified by your PCP about the new triplicate policy? My PCP's office notified me that I have to go in each month for me to get my prescription instead of every 4th refill and I also have to pay whatever amount I pay for co-pay+tripcate and on top of that I'm required to do monthly EKGs. Has anyone heard of such new policy for 2016? I agree with you all in the difference between the peach oval generic pills vs. the orange round generic pills. The oval ones - I stay focused throughout the day at my job with almost no side effects. Recently, my normal pharmacy who I have picked my prescriptions up from for the 7 years switched to the round orange ones. Assuming they were the "same", I took them. The first day I already could notice a HUGE difference! My biggest complaint was the headaches! Not to mention very irritable, fatigue, weakness. Is your doctor aware that you are taking all of these medications? I can't check the pain reliever lollipop, without knowing exactly what it contains. blue square, 2.5 ## There is no 2.5mg Adderall available in the U.S. The minimum dosage is 5mgs (NDC 0555-0762 for details.) What are the markings on the tablet in question? Can you please post back with them? If so, I will be happy to research this tablet for you. And due to the new regulations that have been put in place, if you require such a medication on a long-term ongoing basis, you'll need to see a specialist, so a psychiatrist would be required. The best thing to do might be to set yourself up with a new PCP and then have them refer you to someone that can help. Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area? Why are so many responders referring to Adderall as Speed? From my understanding, speed is a methamphetamine? Just wondering because I am considering Adderall as a possible alternative to Ritalin but don't want to take Speed! ## Adderall contains Amphetamine and Dextroamphetamine, both of which are stimulants, just different from the ones in Ritalin. I need input from anyone on how to store generic Adderall. Lately I've had big problems with their longevity and am not getting much help from the pharmacist or drug information which says to keep it within room temperature. The present mfg CorePharma are horrible in this respect. Any suggestions for other storage bottles or if it can be stored in the refrigerator? ## I found that it's best to keep Adderall in a max of 77 degrees, but can store up to 86 degrees, although that was before the mfg issues imo at CorePharma.
