Hello, I was recently diagnosed with ADHD my doc prescribe me Ritalin the pharmacy gave me the genetic brand Methylphenidate 20mg ER (LA) caps Mfc Actavis. The first day it was ok, made me feel a little more energy, more focus, but also kinda jittery, the fallowing days I didn't even feel anything other than some anxiety and loss of appetite, I was supposed to take them for a month but after taking them for 15 days I decided they were not doing anything for me, except making me want to take Xanax (which I am also prescribed for anxiety) I normally don't take it unless I really need it and just tiny dosages. Which companies manufacture "Generic equivalents" of ADDERALL XR 20mg capsules? I looked on CVS website. They list Name Brand and 4 Generics: Name Brand on Their site: Adderall XR 20mg Cap, Shire US Inc, NDC: 540920387, Pill ID: ADDERALL XR 20mg, capsule, orange. The picture has ©2005GS. I have been on Adderall XR 20mg once a day and my dr wrote it for 10mg twice daily; yet the pharmacist filled regular generic adderall xr; I know this because I compared those with a photo from Barr! The only difference is the mg's. If you feel concerned I would phone your MD and ask he/she what you should do. Hi: I've been prescribed Adderall 20mg IR (generic amphetamine salts, 2x daily) and I found I was just dripping sweat in any type of heat or even at 40 deg after some exertion. My doctor switched me to dextroamphetamine (again, generic, 10 mg, 2x daily), and there is no improvement. The new drug is not as effective as the Adderall. My doctor is not that familiar with this class of drugs, but my pharmacist specialized in mental health drugs and suggested that an ER or XR version might work better. I've also read that some people do better on certain types of generics or the name brands. I can't tell if these are time released or not. Apparently they are generic adderall but I don't know if they are XR or instant release The pills are capsules orange in color I'd say they contain small little balls on the inside and say M. Amphet Salts 20mg ## Time released medications usually have something on them to denote that, such as the XR, CR or ER. And the listings I am finding for this do not list it as time released, either. what is the color and shape of dextroamp amphet er 20 mg ## This is a generic for Adderall, so it is manufactured by several different companies and each will have different markings and can look different, therefore, I can't possibly list all of the descriptions here for you. I have been taking Adderall IR (Barr) 2 - 20mg 2x a day 80mg total per day for the past 3 yrs. My Doctor changed it to Dextroamp-Amphet ER 20 Mg caps same dosage 80mg total per day. I've been getting constant headaches, neck pain, I'm falling asleep in the middle of the day. I heard a lot about Dexedrine and how it acts the same as Adderall with out these side effects? About six months ago I asked my doctor if she would prescribe me Adderall. I took it in my youth and stopped after graduating school. Recently, I've tried going back to college and I thought maybe it would help me to concentrate. She started me on a low dosage (10mg) of generic adderall (amphetamine salts ER) and the next month I asked if she could up it because I didn't really notice a difference. She put me on 20mg. After three days I didn't like the side effects, so I stopped taking it and she told me that was fine and that if I changed my mind to let her know. I take adderall er 20mg 2 tabs each morning. Also: Combivent, advair diskus, dulera, clonidine, quetapine, lisinopril, metoprolol, montelukast, sumstriptan, Sudafed and flunisolide. Can these interact and show up positive for Methamphetamine on a mouth swab drug test?
