I've just had my very first surgery at age 22 on my right ear (Tymnoplasty). I was actually fine with mild pain leaving the hospital and was given this prescription at Walgreens to take every four hours before any pain started when leaving the hospital. I've never had a problem with generic medication, but this is possibly the worse pain I've experienced! I called my doctor to let him know and he explained to take another even though I had just taken this one at 7. It is now 9, I am on my second pill and still feel no relief. I then had to call my doctor again in which he said it could be the brand of the medicine. He actually prescribed me Norco but Walgreens gave me this because of my insurance. I know I should experience little to no pain, but pain that makes you cry shou...

does not work.what did they do? my 12/01/15 worked fairly well. my 1-12-17 is useless and side effects are worse. why can't they make them like watson did. mfg actavis is a joke. i started norco 20 years ago. now i've ended up with this no good mess. ## Henry, Sadly that's the general consensus. Have you considered checking other pharmacies since each are free to use a wide variety of generic mfg. companies? Perhaps you may find one better suited to your needs.

I am reading a lot of complaints about this drug. I was taking Watson 3202 5-325 for pain and it worked for my pain. Now Actavis makes 2172 in place of Watson 3202. I don't see any difference. ## Some people may be more sensitive to different inactive ingredients than others. Their bodies may also process/metabolize these ingredients at a different rate, affecting absorption. However, the amount of active ingredients in generic drugs is rumored to fluctuate by up to 20% more or less. I don't know if this varies from batch to batch, but I'm glad to hear that someone else is having a good experience with the 2172 pill, as it goes to show that everyone really does react differently, despite the nay sayers calling it a placebo by comparison to Watson's older products. Please...

Don't ever get that ActaVas brand Norco 10 325 white tabs they do not work I had half yellow half white last prescription big difference with the yellow ones no doubt I did my own experiment The yellow has a V on them I'm not sure what brand they are but they work much better then the Actavis ## Hi- yeah I've been taking the generic ones ( Hydrocodone), and they seem to wear off within 3 hrs. I've been searching on Google for answers and was wondering if you or anyone else knows if they contain sulfites. I get allergic reactions to sulfites and I know these could have them in the inactive ingredients. Thx. ## @Dash, The yellow one's with a V 36 01 are made by Qualitest (formerly Vintage Pharmaceuticals). From what I've heard, these yellow ones are thought to be o...

I too had my RX medication refilled (again) at Walgreens, but this time (When I did not take my RX Tylenol with it, like I always do) I noticed, that I have been given a different Brand of medication (A Generic Brand/MFG by-ACTAVIS). My "Norco-Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen 5-325/TB" did not work as prescribed or even when I took 3 pills at one time (because 1 nor 2 pills didn't work/relieve my pain). I believe I have been given FAKE NORCO/Hydrocodone pills (white/#2172 on them) from Walgreens Pharmacy. Today I contacted the DEA & FDA via email and requested that they investigate my complaint as soon as possible. ## Hi Lisa, Sorry to hear about your experience with these new 2172 hydrocodone/acetaminophen tabs. There are actually several discussion threads here on MedsChat co...

Does hydrocodone acetaminophen 5 325 ingredients mfg actavis (watson) contain gluten? Please help! I have looked everywhwere and I can't find the answer. I am in pain and I'm afraid to take this pain medicine until I know for sure. thank you. ## Tammy, Is gluten a wheat product? Check on WebMD list of medicine, may have contents for you. ## Tammy, probably a stupid question, but did you check the medication links on this website? Usually very helpful ## Hello, Tammy! How are you? What are the markings on it? That information is the only way for me to be able to determine the correct manufacturer to find the correct ingredients list for you. Can you please post back and clarify? Thank you! This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause sid...

Is this pill consider Norco and dose it work as good as the Watson? ## Hi JoAnn, To answer your first question, Hydrocodone bitartrate + APAP is a generic for brand name Norco. The APAP is simply an abbreviation for Acetaminophen. In terms of how it compares to the Watson (Actavis) formula, this is something that can only be determined by you since everyone is affected different by the same medication(s). Not only that, but you didn't actually list what manufacturer makes your pill, so there is no feasible way to compare it to another manufacturer?

Is it really norco? I just got my refill today and they are not working as well as my previous prescription. ## Hi Yaya, My research from the manufacturer depicts a white oval tablet marked with 2172 to be identified as a generic Hydrocodone Bitartrate 5mg + Acetaminophen 325mg pill. For verification, it carries a National Drug Code of 0591-2172 and is reportedly a product of Actavis Pharmaceuticals that from what I could gather, seems like a newer generic tablet since information about it is relatively sparse on the internet. Hope this helps! ## I have the exact same problem ! The ones with the 2172 do not work the same as the 3604 did . How is this even possible ? Or is it. Are they exactly the same ?

I just wanted to know how much hydrocodone is in the Watson 353 pill? Is it 5 mg, 7.5mg or 10mg? ## Hello DeeDee, Unfortunately I was unable to find any pill imprinted with Watson 353, however, just in case you accidentally misinterpreted the imprint I did find a Watson 853 hydrocodone 10mg pill. Here is some information on the drug. (NDC 0591-0853) Manufacturer: Actavis Pharma, Inc. Active Ingredients: - Hydrocodone Bitartrate 10mg - Acetaminophen 325mg Inactive Ingredients: - croscarmellose sodium - crospovidone - magnesium stearate - cellulose, microcrystalline - povidonesstarch, corn - stearic acid - d&c yellow no. 10 - aluminum oxide Imprint: WATSON;853 Size: 14mm If this drug does not match what you have can you please provide me with some additional details such as the color...

WHAT IS THE T FOR ON THE WHITE HYDROCODONE ACETAMINOPHEN 10-325 BY WATSON THIS IS 10-325 T I RECENTLY CHANGED FROM YELLOW 10-325MG TABS TO WHITE ONES I AM NOT CRAZY BUT THE WHITE ONES ARE NOT REALLY HELPING AS WELL WHY IS THAT ## Hi jen, Your not the first to say that the white ones haven't been working as well. There have actually been several complaints to Watson (Actavis) regarding the lack of potency in their "supposedly equivalent" white tablets. They claim that the only difference lies in the removal of 'dye', however that doesn't necessarily explain why they don't work as well, since dye has no real impact on anything but its color. The true answer to their ineffectiveness is still a mystery until the manufacturer opens up and spills the beans. In the ...

Hi. Came across a Norco 10/325 with simply "M367" and no "Watson" imprint. Real or garbage? ## @Stephen, Legitimate M367 pills don't say "Watson" on them. They only have the M367 imprint on the front and a vertical score line on the back side. Also, just for the record, these pills in particular are reportedly manufactured by Mallinckrodt, not Watson/Actavis. For verification, they carry a National Drug Code of 00406-0367 and are approximately 15.00 mm in size. You are right though about them being 10mg Hydrocodone bitartrate + 325mg Acetaminophen; a generic for Norco. Hope this helps! ## Extremely helpful and appreciated:-) There's so much bootleg garbage out there. Peace out! ## They are real and are the better hydrocodone pills out there compared to so...

is this med suppost to be pink ?? ## There are some that are pink, some that are white, some that are yellow…. I think you get where I'm going with this, the color is totally up to the whit and whim of the manufacturer. What are the markings on them? If you want to make sure that they contain Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen, I can check for you, if you post back with the markings on them. Learn more Vicodin details here. ## I have been taking Norco 5/325 for quite some time, well Monday I went to fill my prescription and was given hydrocodone/acetaminophen 5-325 TB ; manufactured by actavis , I didn't realize till after I left the pharmacy they were different, anyway since I've been getting the same thing for so long I ask them to shred the bag and paperwork on this medi...

Need to know - is this hydrocodone? Just came from drug store and this is what I got. Have never seen one like this before. ## I am also in the same confusion whereas I have received the same pill white oval pill imprint 2127, sorry I cant help but it would be great if someone would ..lol..somebody plz help , my cat is curios af !! ## @Carlo & Hydrizzlecone, What you guys have there is actually a new version of generic hydrocodone 5mg + acetaminophen 325mg (made by Actavis). It is the real deal, however I've recently read some complaints here about it not being nearly as effective as other brands. I say, 'to each their own in' that regard, since everyone responds differently... But I hope this helps add some clarity to the confusion. Also for verification, the pill itsel...

Re: 5mg hydrocodone - Does one side have a line to break in half and the other side has 2172? ## This tablet is manufactured by Actavis and they list it as containing 5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, a generic for Norco, or Vicodin. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Does the pill 2172 have a line in the middle on one side and the number 2172 on the other side please respond back to me with a yes or no answer

Both my mom and I are chronic pain suffers. I have had 3 back surgeries and she has had 1 and has osteoarthritis. Actavis percocet are really bad. No good for pain even at 10/325. She was taking Lortab 10/500 and since the switch she has had hives, nausea, ringing in the ears. We believe it is the pain pills causing the problem. Anyone else having these type problems? ## Hello Reba! How are you both doing? I am very sorry about the problems that you're having. Rather than taking Percocet, the doctor could still prescribe something with Hydrocodone in it, if that's what works better, it is still available, just with the lower amounts of Acetaminophen. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, d...

Show a picture of the pill. White oblong white with 2172 on front. This for a pain pill Norco 5-325. ## Hi Lola, I don't have a photograph to show you, but you can always verify the tablet through its National Drug Code of 0591-2172 and drug manufacturer, which is Actavis Pharmaceuticals. Just for the record, it's a generic Hydrocodone (5mg) + Acetaminophen (325mg) tablet. You can also view more specific details on this tablet from NIH at: dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/drugInfo.cfm?setid=6da96f18-c056-45c2-a1c8-f86484e69d08 Hope this helps!

Si puedo redinir msa de esta pastillas y en que fsrmasia la puedo compara ## Hi Victor, Did you by chance mean to say Watson "853" as opposed to "653"? I have not seen any white oblong pills with Watson 653. However, a white oblong pill imprinted with Watson 853 reportedly contains Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone bitartrate (325 mg / 10 mg); used for moderate to severe pain. For verification, it carries a National Drug Code of 00591-0853. Please also note that this pill used to be yellow, until the new manufacturer (Actavis) changed it to white. Is Watson discontinuing the 7.5-325 pill ## WATSON 3203 is identified as Acetaminophen 325mg + Hydrocodone bitartrate 7.5mg. From what I could gather, Watson's website still lists this medication on their product page. However the color is different than what you described. So I do believe they stopped making the orange one. Watson 3203 is now a white oblong/oval pill with the following National Drug Code (NDC): 00591-2605. The dosage does remain the same though.
