I just ended Accutane. I was on 80 mg. I just ended it today. I was wondering if anybody knew when my chapped lips, loss of hair, dry nose, dry skin, and aching bones will go away? ## Hello Jessika, Please read this Discussion Thread with over 600 post. There are many questions and a lot of good answers to what can happen. I opened this thread up 2 years ago cause my son was having the same symptoms as you. Best Wishes, Scott ## Sorry to say my dry lips NEVER went away. I took Acutane when I was 20, now 43. Jo Malone makes an excellent lip moisturizer, I live by it! ## The thread that Scott is recommending is very helpful! I posted in there a couple of times, as I took Accutane when I was 16. Hi I recently took accutane for two years and developed ulcerative colitis and acid reflux in the last 2 months of my accutane treatment. I would like to know if there is a link between these two, I find it highly unlikely that I would develop this at 18 and for some reason my hair severely thinned out and falls out occasionally. Please respond someone ## Yes, Accutane can cause hair loss and there is a link and many legal cases regarding Chron's / U.C. Not sure if your from the U.S., but it is listed as a side effect of the drug! I would see a doctor if you can. ## Hello, Jack! How are you? Yes, Accutane has been known to cause issues like this as side effect...

I have a son that took accutane 60 mg a day for six months in a row three years ago. Now after many trips to doctors over strange medical problems, it seems accuatne is the culprit medication that has caused servere joint and muscle pain, severe dry lips, redness in face, eye infections of own immune system attacking itself, systems of osteoarthritis in both shoulders, both wrist and right hand, blood in stool, possible hair loss, abnormal liver function test results in AST and ALT. My son went from being a high school football and track athlete while taking this medication three years ago to someone that is in constant pain just washing a car. After I have researched this drug extensively, I can't believe that the FDA allows this drug originally made for cancer patients to be marke...
