I accidentaly took two 25mg losartan but one in the morning and one at 2pm will i be okay ## Hello, Dee Dee! How are you? Did you suffer any adverse effects? Anytime you are worried about a possible overdose, you should contact your doctor, poison control or go to your nearest ER, for your own safety. As to the dosage, it can be given in doses up to 100mgs a day. However, accidentally doubling your dose could cause your blood pressure to go lower than usual, so you may experience dizziness, drowsiness and headache. If you have a smartphone, I'd suggest getting a reminder app for prescriptions. One that not only reminds you when to take them, but one that makes you acknowledge when you've taken it, to avoid such instances in the future.

Took one Losartan 50mg this morning at 9 am. Forgot about it and took another one at 7pm. Should I worry? ## How are you feeling now? Make sure you don't have any of the symptoms listed below. At least it was 10 hours between doses instead of taking both at the same time. Here's an excerpt from Medline Plus: Losartan may cause side effects. Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away: - leg, knee, or back pain - muscle cramps or weakness - diarrhea - heartburn - decreased sensitivity to touch Some side effects can be serious. If you experience any of these symptoms or those listed in the SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS section, call your doctor immediately: - swelling of the face, throat, tongue, lips, eyes, hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs - hoarseness - diffic...

I accidentally took my morning medicine again tonight. That is 2 doses of amlodipine and losartan. What can happen? ## Generally, it is not dangerous, if only done on the rare occasion, but it can vary from person to person, so it is always best to inform your doctor to be sure. The FDA does warn that doubling up may cause you to experience more side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. How are you doing? Did you experience any adverse effects? ## I accidently took a 5 mg and a 10 mg Amlodipine with my losartan I was in a hurry this morning then put fishing and bout 3 hours ago every time I stood up I felt like I was gonna pass out and dizzy I will never make that mistake again just got home feel crappy but my bp is 115/73 and heart rate 85...

My Losartan 50mg white round pill has an odor when opened. It also states on the bottle from Walmart, "issued MAR 2015". Is this good? ## Hello, Palette! How are you? If it isn't coated, Losartan always has an odd odor, I've taken it from several different manufacturers over the years and I've experienced this, as well, I can also tell you that tasting it is even worse!!! I've accidentally had it happen, before, and it was not pleasant! Pills generally have an expiration date of one year from when you receive them from your pharmacy, if they are in a normal pharmacy bottle, but the expiration date can be as long as 4 to 5 years, if they are still in the original factory sealed container. The FDA does warn that they may lose efficacy, once expired, so they may not...

I was going to take an ibuprofen and accidentally took one of my mother's Losartan 25mg tablets. Will I be ok? ## It is always best to check with a medical professional, but just one instance will not likely result in any adverse effects. The FDA warns that it could cause nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. How are you doing? Did you experience any adverse effects?

I accidentally took 2. 50 mg losartan this morning.I am worried, will I be ok? ## Hello, Viki! How are you? Did you experience any adverse effects? That's not a dangerous dose, so to speak, unless your allergic to the medication, or your blood pressure and heart rate are already very low. It could cause you to experience more severe side effects than usual, which may include nausea, dizziness, headache, drowsiness and increased urination as reported by the U.S. FDA. ## I was taking my supplements this morning and accidentally took the 100 mg tablet of my husbands losartan I had out next to my supplements. My blood pressure is 128 over 78 right now. Should I go to the emergency room? Or what can I do to offset the drug?

My grandma is taking losartan 100mg OD. She accidentally took the medication twice a day. Which stressed us. What is the effect of this medication to my grandma's hypertension/condition? She doesn't feel anything unusual though. ## Hello, Val! How are you and how is your grandmother doing? Have you checked her blood pressure? It could cause it to drop too low and to develop a low heart rate, though if she's not feeling sick or dizzy, then she's likely fine. However, you should check with her doctor to be safe. ## Am taking Losarton 100 mg twice a day as per my Neph doctor. But my primary doctor wants me to only take one 100 mg per day. Won't changing the dose also affect my blood pressure? ## I am 42 and my doctor switched me from norvasc 5mg to cozarr 100mg due to l...

I took 25 mg of losartan at 5:00 AM and accidentally took one at 9:00 PM. Is that harmful? ## Sorry to hear about the mishap LeeAnn... I see that you posted this back on March 31st, so it's been a few weeks now. Just wondering how you are feeling? Fortunately, Losartan's half-life is only about 2 hours, and the amount of time in between the two doses was far away enough that I probably would've imagined everything would turn out fine in the long run once it left your system; albeit might cause some unwanted side effects in the moment...

What if I took 50mg of losartan and 2 hours later accidentally took it again? What can happen? ## Hi Daisy, Sorry to hear about the mishap. In my opinion I think it would be best to notify your prescribing doctor (or poison control) of what happened so that they may be able to assist you in the event of adverse reactions, extreme hypotension, etc. If this happened to me I would also probably be monitoring my blood pressure levels frequently over the next couple days to get a better idea of how my body is responding. How are you feeling? ## I accidentally took 250 mg tablets of losartan 50mg. Will I be okay? ## Can you take two Losartan 50 mg tablets at the same time or should you take it in the morning and then at night? ## I took 50 mg losartan at 11:30 am then accidentally took anothe...

i accidentally took amlodipine besylate 10mg(usually am) along with losartan potassium 50mg(usually pm). Will this cause a problem for me? ## Did you contact your doctor? Did you experience any problems? There aren't any dangerous interactions that I can find listed, these medications are often prescribed together to help control high blood pressure and/or treat certain cardiac conditions. However, taking them at the same time could result in some hypotension, which may make you dizzy and drowsy. If it's very severe, you may need to seek medical attention.

Question: what would happen if you accidentally took two doses of Hydrochlorothiazide Losartan 100/2mg once a day in a 12 hour period of time? I thought I forgot to take it today! First time doing this and now know the key of having a SMTW... pill box! ## Hello, Jay! How are you? Not likely anything serious, but you should check with your doctor to be sure. You may need to take in some more fluids, since you may experience dehydration and lower than normal blood pressure from the accidental doubling up. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I take Losartan Potassium 25mg in the morning and Aten lol 25mg before bed. I took my losartan around 11:30am. Getting ready for bed, I accidentally took the losartan again instead of the atenolol. (11:02 pm) Should I be concerned? I am not goin...
