I was on methadone for 2 years at 60 mg. Stopped cold turkey, was in hell for 5 weeks. Please stay away from this devil. My opinion is it's the worst drug on the planet. I'm looking to stop using Methadone. I currently use 60mg methadone and was wondering how many mg of MSIR i would need to take a day so that I do not get uncomfortable. I took 50mg of methadone today. How long do I have to wait to take suboxone? ## Wait about one to two days so it works and doesn't make u have bad withdrawals. Do u know which med will likely give me more pain control and consistent relief: 10mg of methadone or 60 mg of avinza? I am currently taking methadone with very little relief and I was looking throughput my medical records and realized that approximately nine years ago I was taking avinza. I don't recall whether or not I had better pain control back then as compared to now because it's been so many years and my condition has worsened drastically in the past year. I need a new pain Dr in Hampton Roads, Virginia. I was on 12th of Methadone a day and oxy for breakthrough pain. I am a 58 year old male with debilitating back pain& have broken every bone in my upper body. Due to a motorcycle accident. My current PCWORLD is giving me 60 MG Methadone & 4G oxy a day it is simply not enough for my pain level.

I am having trouble with the switch,not sleeping,eating,feel anxious,like I have taken 8000mg caffeine. It does help the pain but the side effects are so unpleasant. I had the same reaction with demerol, opana, & fentanyl. Does anyone have experience or suggestions. I've been on methadone for 7 years now, I was at 160 mg and I am now at 60 mg and going down still. I only wish I knew the horrid side effects and other issues that came with this medication before I ever took the first dose! I was in a auto 04/2010. My back is broke in several places and my L shoulder. My family an I were told I need a 24 hr operation on my back and a 12 hr operation to replace my shoulder. Been on Methadone for many years via a pain clinic. I am 66. I take 50 mg. daily. and was stable and reasonably pain free until this year. I fell and broke 5 ribs on two different occasions and a slight fractured hip and torn muscles on a third fall. These falls happened while training protection dogs.For about 8-9 months I was taking about 60 mgs. of oxycodone on top of the methadone with no effect on pain - ouch!. After 15 years I was kicked off 200 mgs of methadone daily because the pain doc wasn't "comfortable" with it all of a sudden, but he is perfectly willing to let me drop dead suffering like a dog in front of my family at age 60, two hip replacements and severe osteoporosis. Sure enough the first day I went into a massive withdrawal and wound up with a dislocated hip on top of it at the ER. I wrote a complaint to the NY health dept and got a nasty letter saying the doctor can do whatever he wants as long as he provides emergency care. If i take two norcos 5/325 with my 60 mg dose of methadone, will i feel it? ## Nope probably not. I never do "feel it" but if you are looking for pain control it still works better than tylenol/Advil with the methadone. i wanted to know if iam already methadone is it safe to take celexa? ## It is actually recommended that combining the two be avoided and an alternative medication be used in replace of the Celexa, if someone is already on Methadone. Hydroxyzine 50mg 4 time daily. Bus par 60 mg daily clonazapam 1mg 3a day melatonin 10mg bedtime. Does any take away the effect of methadone. I am on 244 mg a day due to rapid metabolism. I was on 120 mg of methadone for 8 years straight with no relapse, so I decided to quit it. I got down to 110mg and had the weekend take home so i have been taking half of a half of 5mg and now I'm out. That was 1 week ago and yesterday when i ran out of the 5 mg I started to feel sick. I don't want to go on suboxone or subutex. I was told a doctor could prescribe Adderall for focus and Xanax for stress but I can't seem to find a doctor who will help. Hi all, I am 39, male and am going to take 8 MG's Subutex after being on methadone for 4 years (I'm just over it, tired) 60 MG's next day took 30 MG's next day took 20mgs and finally 10 MG's to taper a bit. I then waited 43 hours and am in moderate withdrawal. I have been in much worse withdrawal then now but decided to go ahead with 8 MG's of sub now to see, lab rat style, if I precip or get relief. There seem to be many different experiences, some say 24 hours some say 72. I will try to give an update if I precip and will for sure if I don't. Fingers crossed, I hope its the latter. I have taken 100mg of methadone around 0600 then I took another 100 mg about an hour later. Now I have been taking .5 mg of klonopins about four times today...I don't feel imparied...I'm not nodding out....should I be concerned that I won't wake up? ## Possibly yes I've recently lost two friends that overdosed on benzodiazepines and opiates. I have been on methadone for 10 years for fibro. I take 60-100 mgs a day. I have recently begun taking garcinia cambogia, green coffee bean and raspberry ketones for weight loss. Though they have been working, (I've lost 20 lbs) I've noticed about 1-2 hrs after taking them I start to withdraw. It doesn't matter if it's been 2 hrs or 10 hrs since my last methadone dose, my body acts like it's been 14+hrs as the anxiety clamps on like a vice and the nose turns into a faucet. Hi. I have been on the Methadone Clinic for about 3 years and have been slowly decreasing my dose and doing very well. I am down to 60mgs daily and had 6 take home doses. I started having really bad pain in my neck and shoulders so stopped going down, and after literally harrassing my doctor for 2 months and becoming very swollen in my whole chest, face and neck I have been diagnosed with lung cancer which is causing SVC Syndrome. I am in constant pain, rarely sleep and only sitting up. Methadone is not helping the pain at all. My doctor gave me 5 mg valiums.
