I take generic Norco: hydrocodone -acetaminophen 10-325 TB. Which works fine. However for a month, I took hydrocodone -acetaminophen-325 (no TB mentioned anyhere). Miserable. Did not work as well and was in tears. Are these the same generic ingredients in both meds? I recently was on 7.5 325 T and doc just switched me to 5-325-TB. What is the difference between the two? As in what amount of aspirin/Tylenol, does the amount in prescription strength, above mean? Like 7.5 to the 5, & the amount that didn't change 325? I have severe lower back pain, after standing or walking for several hours, as well as after strenuous work around the house, bending stooping, etc., & an MRI showed spinal stenosis. I recently went to the dentist because I've been having severe tooth pain causing a pain to shoot up from my tooth to my head. The dentist said I had an infection due to my wisdom teeth being taken out and it caused the tooth to move and caused bacteria to go in. I am reading a lot of complaints about this drug. I was taking Watson 3202 5-325 for pain and it worked for my pain. Now Actavis makes 2172 in place of Watson 3202. I don't see any difference. ## Some people may be more sensitive to different inactive ingredients than others. Their bodies may also process/metabolize these ingredients at a different rate, affecting absorption. However, the amount of active ingredients in generic drugs is rumored to fluctuate by up to 20% more or less. On 4/12/17, I received my monthly script of Oxycodone from Walgreens, from Mfg. Actavis as Oxycodone/Acetaminophen 10-325MG TB. The medication did not dull my pain as usual, but continued to use and began to feel very ill, vomiting and having diarrhea, ending up in the hospital for four days, during which I lost all my strength and needed Physical Therapy for three months and I am still having to use a walker. There was never a diagnosis of the cause of my hospitalization, but now I know that after I had not used the medication for a period of three months and now needed pain relief again, that after ll days of use, I was experiencing the same thing that had put me in the hospital in the first place, the Actavis Oxycodone! There is a problem with Actavis and they should be investigated....

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE IN THE TWO MEDICATIONS? Are there different side effects, and how might they manage my pain differently? ## From what you've listed, the only difference is the dosage of Acetaminophen that each contains, one contains 325mgs and the the other contains 300mgs of it. However, if you feel that what you were prescribed just isn't strong enough, a higher dosage may be something to discuss at your next appointment. In May I sustained a shattered tibia and broken fibula, 4 broken ribs, 2 stomach surgeries, dislocated elbow, missive rotator disruption, 5 facial fractures, and a TBI. I suffered a Severe Traumatic Brain Injury about 2 years ago. I continue to have severe headaches. Every single day. A permanent headache My neuro says that with my kind of injury this is not uncommon. This is not a "migraine". Closest to a "cluster headache".
