IF A DOCTOR PRESCRIBE A MEDICINE TO TAKE 8 HRLY AND I START MY FIRST DOSE AT 9 AM MEANS,WHAT ARE THE TIMNG FOR NEXT 2 DOSES? ## Every 8 hours from 9am would be 5pm and 1am. So, basically, your daily regimen would be a dose at: 1am 9am and 5pm. Are there any comments or questions? ## is it practicable to take a dose at 1am. Do you believe that people follow this dose regimen. Pls give me a solution. ## Why not you take early in the morning at 6 am, next dose at 2pm in the afternon and the third dose at 10 pm in the night. Is that not more practical? ## You mean a sick man has to get up early morning, ok what about baby?.what i observed is 90% of people not follow this dose schedule. So i still believe that it is not practicable

I just got the pills but I've been forgetting to take them like when I first got them I took it at 12pm and fell asleep woke up and took it at 2am then at 2pm then I fell asleep and just took one at 7:20 and I'm gonna tap one at 7:20 tonight will it still be effective? ## What medication are you asking about? I am sorry, but I can't really provide an answer, without knowing this additional information, since some medications do require precise dosing, in order to be effective, but not all. For instance, while an antibiotic says to take it every 12 hours, and that would be ideal, you also don't have to set your alarm to wake up and take it, it can wait a few hours, until you wake up. On the other hand, oral contraceptives are a medication that you have to be as precise ab...

I was informed from a co worker that I could not purchase another box of Sudafed 12 hour for another month. New state law. It is the only product that works for my sinus problems & I do take 2 @ a time. One just doesn't work. Is this true? ## Hello, Stephanie! How are you? What state are you in? I'll gladly research this for you, but I need to be able to narrow it down, a little. Did you try asking your pharmacist? The FDA classifies this medication as a decongestant and its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, nervousness, insomnia and dry mouth. There is a certain limit on the amount you can purchase each month, so that might be what your coworker is talking about and they just misunderstood. That doesn't mean you can't buy more, b...

CAN THE MAIN INGREDIENTS BE SEPARATED ## Hi MIZTAZ, To my understanding, the active ingredients in Allegra D 12hr are not intended to be tampered with or separated. If you just want Fexofenadine on its own, normal Allegra may be what it is you're looking for. Pseudoephedrine is also available on its own, and is marketed under the brand name Sudafed/12 hr. Both options should be available OTC, but you may have to ask your pharmacist to get it for you if it's behind one of those locked glass doors. I hope this helps to answer your question!

My wife, age 63 has been on Oleptro Extended Release 150MG for 2 years for MDD (major depressive disorder). She takes one tablet at night before bed. It has been working well for her. However, when I went to get the refill her 30 day supply, Sam's Club said they could not get it because their supplier--Bergman--had it on back order with no specific time to supply. I checked with Randall's pharmacy who is supplied by Cardinal Health--same thing, backordered with no "fill" time. Checked with CVS and Kroger-McKesson is supplier--same thing, backordered. Anyone have any information about why this drug is not available? ## Hello, Steve! How are you and your wife? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. I have to take my meds every 12 hours. I took my first dose at 3pm. When do I take the next? ## The next dose should be taken at 3am, according to FDA guidelines. Thus, if you don't wish to be up at 3am, you may want to change your dosing schedule. What medication are you taking? Knowing this would enable me to provider with more precise information. ## 3 am and then the next day at 3 pm and so on. ## I'm taking a antibiotic for my sinus infection. It says to take it every 12 hours by mouth. So what does that mean? ## It means that you should take the recommended dose once every 12 hours. So if you took one dose at 9 am, you should take the next dose at 9 pm. Does that make sense? ## It depends on the drug. Is it time critical such as a diabetic med or an antibiotic. Diabetic me...

My mother is taking a medication: one tablet every 12 hrs with food. We were wondering what times are best: 8am & 8pm or 9am & 9pm? Ehat do you suggest? ## It depends on if she has to take them with food or after meals. It also depends on what other medications she is taking. Some medications can't be taken with others. It would be best to call her pharmacist and ask because they should have a list of all of the medications she is taking. ## With food can also mean with glass of milk or a cracker. Doesn't have to be a "meal.. Any 12 hr gap is fine. ## I have to take a pill every 12 hours, if I take it at 8 , what time do I take the next one.

Is Keflex (Cephalexin) in the same family as Mexapin? Can I take Mexapin if I'm allergic to Keflex? ## They are different antibiotics, but that doesn't guarantee that you won't find more that you are allergic to, that's the way it tends to work, those who are allergic to one, or more medications, usually discover more that cause allergic reactions. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with?

Allegra D 24 Hour Fexofenadine Hydrochloride + Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride

It is classified as a second-generation antihistamine because it is less able to pass the blood–brain barrier and cause sedation, compared to first-generation antihistamines.[12][13...

I have a strange response to Oramorph - I take 10ml for persistent hip pain two or three times a week. It takes about 2 hrs to kick in and lasts about 10-12 hrs. It is not slow-release. Sometimes I wonder if I'm imagining this or maybe it just relaxes me so the pain feels less. I would like to know if anyone (especially women as I've heard these drugs aren't evaluated on women), has had a similar experience? My doctor says it's impossible! Thanks. ## The length of time that any given medication works may vary from person to person, a lot of it depends on your own body chemistry and metabolism. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. And yes, th...

Take 1 Tablet every 6 hours for pain. How many is this a day? 3 or 4 ## Hello, Judy! How are you? That would be 4, as defined by the FDA, from what you've listed. However, if it is a prescription that says to take it as needed, then your doctor may not be expecting you to need 3 or 4 of them every day. Is there anything else I can help with?

My health insurance to longer covers this drug where can it be purchased? ## Hi Birdie, Even if your health insurance no longer covers this medication, you should still be able to get a prescription filled at any pharmacy. However, if you're looking for a discount I would recommend asking your doctor or pharmacy about patient assistance programs or drug coupons to save money. If you run a google search for "Clarinex D 24 hour coupons" there seem to be a few good sites that offer coupons based on eligibility requirements. I hope this helps!
