Zaleplon, sold under the brand names Sonata among others, is a sedative-hypnotic, used to treat insomnia. It is a nonbenzodiazepine hypnotic from the pyrazolopyrimidine class.[1] It is manufactured by King Pharmaceuticals and Gedeon Richter Plc.
