I am taking Cephalexin 500 for a tooth infection, tramadol every day for
arthritis, and I am having problems with insomnia, can I take ZzzQuil?

Both the Tramadol and the Diphenhydramine in the Zzzquil can elevate the levels of serotonin in your brain. Too much serotonin can cause serotonin syndrome, which can be fatal. Thus, combining these medications isn't advisable, unless your doctor has specifically told you that it is safe for you to do so.

For anyone wishing to save money, it isn't necessary to purchase Zzzquil, Diphenhydramine is the same ingredient that is in Benadryl and the store brand/generic equivalents.
