No, they do not. Each manufacturer must use unique imprints to enable their tablets to be identified, in case of emergency. The imprints also have to differ from one dosage to the next. This enables authorities to trace what a pill contains, what its dosage is and who manufactured it, just from looking the imprint up in a database.

Metformin is an oral antidiabetic medication that is used to help lower and control blood sugar, side effects may include nausea, dizziness, stomach pain, flatulence and hypoglycemia.

Do you have a tablet that you are questioning? If so, please post back with the markings on it and I will be glad to research it for you to see what it contains.
