I TOOK SERTRALINE WHICH HELPED GREATLY BUT CAUSED WEIGHT GAIN. I WAS THEN GIVEN WELLBUTRIN SR BUT PHARMACY SUBSTITUTED BUDEPRION SR WHICH I HAVE NOT TAKEN YET. IT'S FOR DEPRESSION. ANY
"HEADS UP" THOUGHTS ABOUT BUDEPRION SR?

Hello, Ginger! How are you? There is some confusion occurring here and your pharmacy should have explained better, however, I am happy to clear this up for you.

Budeprion and Wellbutrin are the same medication, they are both brand names for Bupropion.

So, you have still been given the same medication that your doctor prescribed.

It's an atypical antidepressant and smoking cessation aid and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, insomnia and headache.
