I have chronic pain. Moerse waltmen disease + bad migraines. I have been on 10 percocet. Which was working fine. Until this year. They have changed them to tylox. This don't work. Now am on oxycontin 4 times a day. This is is making me depressed. Not able to get out of bed. Please help!!

Hello, Joy! How are you doing? I'm very sorry about your health issues.

How long have you been taking the Oxycodone? It can cause that in some people that take it, but it should improve once your body gets used to the medication, which may take about 4 weeks or so.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Have you talked to your doctor about the problem? They may also be able to prescribe something to help with the depression for a few weeks.
