My son (age 33) has a sore throat and wants to take this medication we bought in Mexico. It is 500 mg. Should he take just 1 pill? There are three in the box.

Zitroken contains Azithromycin, this is an antibiotic. It is used to treat various types of infections.
That said, if his sore throat is NOT caused by an infection, it will not help and he runs the risk of developing drug resistant bacteria.
It also requires a full course of the medication to help cure an infection, which is more than one tablet.
Has he consulted a doctor?
