Zenzedi 10mg

MY son was taking Dexedrine but they stop getting that pill went bk to the doctor he prescribe zenzedi 10 mg pharmacy filled with a generic named Dextroamphet which is a generic of Adderall ,my son was on Adderall at one time complained of chest pains and the drug was changed immed. when I looked up the generic name of zenzedi it stated Dextroamphetmine was the drug to use not dextroamphet the diff. in mixes of the drug.Is this the right drug for my son?

Zenzedi and Dexedrine contain the same active ingredient, Dextroamphetamine. The one that said Dextroamphet was just abbreviated by the pharmacy or doctor, but it is the same medication.

But it is not the same as Adderall. Adderall contains 2 active ingredients, Dextroamphetamine and Amphetamine.

Side effects are very similar for all of the mentioned medications and may include nausea, headache, irritability, insomnia and anorexia.
