They are a time released formulation of Tramadol. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

All medications carry some risks, most prominently with this one would be liver and stomach damage, so you should see your doctor regularly, while being treated with it, so they can monitor you.
