when my mom had her appendix out, the dr. gave her a round, yellow pain reliever that started with an N. She is in extreme pain now, and the dr's office said it will take 5 days to get her records out of storage from 2010. It was not a codone, oxi, or anything of that nature because she is allergic to codeine. I want to say it as "nu" something. Does anyone know of a yellow, round pain reliever of this sort? Thank you.

There is a round, yellow Nucynta tablet that contains the narcotic Tapentadol and it would have been around at that time, since it was approved in 2008.
This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
