Yellow Pill Om 50 Mg

Small yellow pill with OM on one side and 50 on the other. Supposed to be some kind of new painkiller, 50mg...something like nycanta maybe. Can anyone identify?

This tablet contains 50mgs of Tapentadol Hydrochloride, it is an anlgesic that has both opiate and nonopiate like pain killing effects.

Some common side effects can include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and sedation.

I HAD BRAIN SURGERY LAST YEAR AND BEEN EATING VICODIN SINCE. I TOLD MY DOCTOR I WANTED SOMETHING DIFFERENT AND HE GAVE ME NUCYNTA. HE TOLD ME ITS BETTER THAN VICODIN AND PERC'S...BUT DID NOTHING FOR ME...ITS NEW AND THINK THEY NEED TO GO BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD. MY PAIN IS FROM MY SPINAL FLUID GETTING CUT OFF AND DOESNT HELP AT ALL FOR THAT.

yeah well it wont work unless you have one pill in you system for more than 24hrs then go back and take one the next day and promise you will feel it

Snorted? Seriously it's people like you that make it more difficult for people with real health and standard of living issues to get fair treatment and adequate care.

Regarding Nucynta, it was prescribed to my wife in lieu of norco and she had serious side effects such as severe drowsiness, confusion, dizziness, sleep walking/talking, stomach problems, shortness of breath, etc. She couldn't stay on it long enough to "adjust." I would recommend that if you are already taking a medicine that you know works then stay with it and adjust dosage to meet your needs. Right now the pharmaceutical companies are giving incentives to doctors for prescribing nucynta (I was suspicious when the doc gave us discount coupons for the prescription). Don't fall for it and stay away from this stuff until it's been on the market for at least 5 years and until more info about side effects and interactions is available.

Nyucenta is not new. My husband had taken it in 2012 for 2 years and helped manage his pain. But you do have to adjust to it. I couldnt take it for my back injury so I am doing well with hydrocodone.
