Yellow Dye/tartrazine In Qualitest Hydrocodone 10 325

Is the yellow dye in the Qualitest hydrocodone tablets tartrazine, aka FD & C yellow # 5? Many people, myself included, are highly sensitive to this dye. Lots of manufacturers still use it, for unknown reasons. But some have switched to an iron compound for the yellow color (who needs it?!). I have spent much time online trying to get this info, to no avail. If anyone knows, your response would be greatly appreciated!

Actually, it is listed as being FD&C yellow #6.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

My son-in-law takes the yellow Norcos. Then one day, he picked up his meds and they were white. He now fills it at HEB grocery store. If he calls it in to be refilled a week ahead of time and asks for the yellow ones, they will special order them for him. If there's not an HEB by you, you might want to ask your pharmacist if they can do that for you. Good luck.

OMG I cannot believe someone would post that! EVERYONE needs IRON and too much will KILL YOU! Even steel will kill if it hits you.
