Yellow Capsule 300mg Ig322

Someone gave me a few and said it would help with my back pain but nothing is it even good for back pain?

This capsule is manufactured by InvaGen Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 300mgs of Gabapentin.

The FDA classifies this medication as an anticonvulsant that has also been shown to help with certain types of nerve pain and some mood disorders. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood swings and weight changes.

That said, this is not an actual analgesic, so you can't just take one or two that have been given to you by a friend and have pain relief, they don't work that way. They must be taken all the time, for about 4 to 6 weeks, to reach their full level of effectiveness in your body. Additionally, they only work for some types of nerve pain, not all pain.
