I am on day 4 of this 10 day antibiotic and have started noticing symptoms of a yeast infection. I'm wondering if I can take monistat 1 or 7 while on the prescription or if I should call my doctor and wait till after I'm done.

Yes, you can use Monistat, unless your doctor feels you should not do so. But many women get yeast infections from antibiotics, so they are often advised to use it, or their doctor will prescribe something to help prevent one from occurring, such as Fluconazole.
The FDA lists the typical side effects of Monistat as possibly including irritation, spotting and discharge.
