Xarelto Weight Gain When Does It Stop?

I have gained about 40 pounds in 8 months, I don't attribute all of that to xarelto, however I work out pretty vigorously, and after seeing the posts, I'm sure it has had an effect. How long does it take Xarelto to fully leave your system?

Yes, many people have reported weight gain on Xarelto. The FDA lists its other typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and easy bruising.

How long will you be taking it?

It only takes 25 to 54 hours, so not very long, once you stop it, but make sure to do so under your doctor's supervision.

Hi Verwon....I was on a trail case study, where Bayer is testing using lower dose Xaerlto versus low aspirin or a combination of both. Started October 2015, and due to side effects, my cardiologist has pulled me from the study. I was having some lightheaded feelings, muscle aches (including chest aches)...so, I have been off the Xaerlto for about 48 hours...it might be in my head, but I am feeling somewhat better. When you say 25 to 54 hours as time to get out of the body, does that generally mean the side effects end after that, or does it take longer for them to be totally gone?

Just wondering when those side effects typically subside. I am going to have some general cardiac tests done (due for them anyway) to make sure there isn't anything else going on.
