Is it normal to have blood clots during period while taking xarelto?

Yes, your period may also be heavier and last longer than usual.

However, if it gets severely heavy and/or continues for too long of a time period, you should seek medical attention.

Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may include nausea, dizziness, headache and easy bruising.
