Xarelto Cause Leg Pain Burning

Hi, I've been on xarelto for nearly 3 weeks. I started of with pressure & pain in the head then that went away. Then got abdominal pain, then that went away. Then burning in my upper back that went away and now my legs have a burning sensation from my calf to foot and some muscle pain in my shoulder and arms feel like they've been bruised but no visible sign of bruising. I have a small Pe in my left lung due to child birth and the same thing happened 8 years ago due to child birth so no more kids for me. But these burning sensations in my legs and feet come and go all day and night and it's so annoying. What should I do as every time I bring this up to my doctors or hematologist they just brush me of saying it's normal. Well I'm here to say it's not normal, it's just added pain to my struggle to breathe from my Pe and 8 years ago I was on warfarin and was fine.

Hello, Rachael! How are you feeling? I'm sorry about the problems you're experiencing.

However, they are correct, those can be normal side effects of this medication, as reported by the NIH. You may also experience nausea and easy bruising.

In some cases, the symptoms have been so severe that people have had to switch to a different medication.

Are you on any other medications?

Hi...My Mom having burning sensation since from1year...She had many test but no results and many tablets no results and after that we got the solution and we got the main thing the doctor say about MRI....We did MRI...The doctor say about operation but we did not done operation....And started eating homeopathic medicine since 4months .....So please give me best Results.....

I started Carleton about 1 week ago for a dvt I'm nearly in tears tonight burning in the back of my calf's and leg inside veins from groin to ankle it burns and has soreness left from a charlie horse to no avail I was told normal side effects bs I have a u po per arm dvt what else can I take this is torture?

Hello, Xarelto put so much presser in my legs, it felt like they were going to bust, went off xarelto my legs were back to normal in a couple of days. good luck!

Im on xarleto 20 mg a day many symptoms since I started the medicine . I had severe burning in my legs and veins. recently had lab work done vitamin d level was 16 and vitamin b 12 was low also told xarleto will have your vitamins and minerals up and down so have them checked which can cause burning started b12 and some of the burning has gone also some vein disease's can cause burning. mine all started when I started xarelto side effects dizzyness ,swelling in the legs,fatigue,focus,burning arms and legs nausea.

I have been on on xraelto for over two years now due to a pe l have extreme burning in my legs my doctors never told me this could be a side effect of the medicine the burning has been disabling after reading the same experience of others l am now hoping that something can be done thank you for sharing
