The problem with taking them both is due to the fact that they can both cause sedation, so that's intensified by combining them.

Thus, there's really not any set time frame that you need to space them out, you just need to know to watch for any danger signs, such as feeling severely sedated, shallow breathing and extreme dizziness.

You should also never take them both, unless your doctor has specifically told you that it's safe for you to do so.
