what does the blister pack look like for xanax 0.5 from pharmacia pakistan. any help woul be appreciated

Errrr - sorry, but Xanax Is NOT made by Pharmacia Pakistan. Which if I am not mistaken, does not actually exist!
The licence to produce alprazolam tablets under that brand name is held by Parke Davis. The blister is in English and Urdu, marked 'XANAX 0.5mg tablets' and says clearly 'manufactured by Parke Davis Ltd' and 'under licence from Pharmacia'.
Parke Davis Xanax have been extensively tested by several labs due to complaints about their efficacy. The 1mg strength has consistently been found to contain significantly less than that amount of alprazolam. I have read in several places that the average assayed tablet contains 658mcg alprazolam, so I would not be surprised if your dodgy-sounding tablets actually contain just over 300mcg rather than 500mcg as stated on blisters and boxes. There is an appalling lack of quality control for pharmaceutical products in that country.
The tablets should be a light pink colour. They are easily told from Xanax brand made elsewhere because the imprint is NOT the usual one for a 500mcg Xanax tablet, 'UPJOHN 55', but is 'XANAX' with '0.5' below.
Unless a tablet carries the Upjohn 55 imprint, I personally would not touch it.
Similarly the purple 1mg tablet by Parke Davis carry the tablet name and strength in the form '1.0' and not the normal 'UPJOHN 90'.
Who knows though? Perhaps if these pills you have are counterfeit, which if they are described as being manufactured by Pharmacia Pakistan is an extremely high probability, they may contain more alprazolam than the actual licenced product! On the other hand they may contain no active pharmaceutical ingredient at all.
These sound like they are a roll of the dice to me.
