You can, as long as they have been prescribed for you. However, they both tend to increase sedation, so you may experience more dizziness and drowsiness than usual, as reported by the FDA. If you have existing medical conditions that affect your breathing, or heart, taking them together in high doses could be too much for you. People who are not tolerant may also experience overdose.

The FDA also wants that both of these medications carry the risk of being habit forming.
