Xanax - 3 Tablets Over Time

Medication usually do not work on me - not even morphine when I was in pain at the hospital. Sleeping pills do not affect me. However xanax worked a little but that was a relief as I have insomnia. I took 3 last night or maybe the night before - I don't know. All I know is I work up at 7:00 p.m the next day or the next day. I guess it worked but it scared me. What happene? I am on 1mg and just have taken it for 6 mos.

Well, I think you are already aware of what happened, you took too many! Xanax is a very potent Benzodiazepine. You've been taking 1mg and suddenly jumped to 3mgs, so yes, I'd say it worked for you, a little too well.

You can become addicted to these or overdose, so you really do need to be careful. I suggest speaking to your doctor regarding some other option.

These can also cause periods of amnesia.
