I was prescribed hydrocodone/acetaminophen 5-325 TB for back pain. I ran out so I took a oxycodone 10mg for the pain. Today is the 11th of April and I have to go in and see my Dr. on the 14th of April. If he tests my urine what will the outcome be? Will it just show for opiates or will a Dr.'s office urine test be more of a specific test? I have a feeling he's going to test my system because after all he did prescribe me the hydrocodone.

I take 15mg Oxycodone and have a swab test tomorrow, should I skip taking it today and tomorrow?

Idk for sure. But I can pretty much guarantee your PM Dr wants to know if you took something other than what's prescribed. So yes, oxycodone and hydrocodone are gonna show separately. They have so many regulations on them. My Dr always asks what I took in the last 24 hours before the test. I'm always honest with the doc I see, but not the nurse asking. One time I had some marijuana about a week before and on a regular basis and my test came back negative. 3 strikes you're out but crisis averted. Idk how but the tests are most def flawed.

this is very true, I am prescribed ocycontin and norco, when I took a urine test it showed the oxy but very low on the norco, because i dont take it as often.

That sucks. Im kinda in same sitution. Im going for surgery on the 8th and blood and urine on friday. My doctor prescibes me oxycidine when i dont have anymore go to the street. Im wondering if its gonnashow in my urine as well. They say 24 hours. I dont know about that.

They show up as two different drugs they will not show on a drug test as being the same drug. I have a friend that recently got busted at her pain clinic.

I took 60 mg's of hydrocodone and I am only prescribed oxycodone I wasn't thinking because I had left my script at home, I was urine tested at my pain doctor and I am wondering if it will show up

It will stay in your system for 3-4 days. So not taking it for 1 or 2 days, probably will not help...you will still test positive more than likely.

I'm not sure if they do an 8 or 12 panel test but I need to know if they will show up as the same thing or two different drugs?

That's what happened to me I got hurt @ work carpel tunnel & they drug tested me & it showed up for Oxy but I take Hyrdocodone 4 times a day I did take Oxycodone for yrs & yrs but they did send it off to tha lab & hoping & praying the lab can verify I only take Hydrocodone I'm kinda scared cuz I don't wanna lose my job for something I was prescribed for yrs

It will show oxycodone. That's Percocet different medicine than hydrocodone plus I wouldn't trust that it be out of your system in 3 days. More like 4 or 5 days.

That is not true hydrocodone does contain codeine I am highly allergic to it back years ago when I had taken it I was also prescribed Phenergan because I couldn't take hydrocodone without vomiting but I was eventually changed to a different medication so I wouldn't have to take the Phenergan so you are wrong about that as I said I'm highly allergic to codeine and hydrocodone does contain codeine
