From personal experience opanas(was taking the yellow 40s) will set off the opi(opiates) and the oxy columns on the urine analysis your looking at about 72 hours to even get a faded line to come up so push ups jumping jacks etc while u detox and if u can get 96 hours or 4 days then I'd say your definitely good.

Just wanted to say, as someone who takes pain meds for freaking pain, thanks! Thanks for making it so hard on legit pain patients who are trying to live on a small amount of medicine, just hoping for some tiny amount of quality in our lives. You will never hear us say they are "goooood" because we can't even get a decent enough dose to help our pain. We also don't misuse them. Thank you so much for making our lives so much harder!! Enjoy your next dose that is "soooo" good and pray that you never have to take pain meds for legitimate pain.

Opana is a strong pain pill that's goooood kinda like OxyContin in the effects it gives but way longer lasting. Opanas give you more of a euphoric feel than OxyContin. It is often prescribed to cancer patients and ppl on their death bed and ppl in extreme pain but working in a nursing home a lot of dying patients are prescribed morphine. I don't know why, because opana is better, but I guess the shots of morphine are quicker and more effective in taking away pain. But opanas are soooo hard to come by now a days since the laws passed by the government and then everything higher than 10mg is the gel powderish bs that gels up when coming into contact with water or wetness of any kind like your nose.

No OPANA does not require it own unique test, if my memory is correct when I was taking it it was 'oxymorphine' and it down make a different as to whether or not your on "instant release " for immediate pain or 'long acting' to control pain for longer times.

So true. So many people abuse it that those who legit have serious pain and have NO quality of life without small doses of meds. I agree. Those who run out and somehow find other meds thanks a lot for screwing it up for the honest pain patients!

Oxymorphone is twice the strength of oxycontin only med that is stronger is Fentynal. I've been on Oxymorphone 40 mg 3 X's a day for close to ten years . I would think it would be self exploratory why it is not given to elderly patients it is four times the strength of morphine ! It is also avaiable in I.V. form but not readily avaiable in most hospitals. It is twice the strength of oxycontin and when I'm in the hospital that's what they replace my script with a long with IV diludid and my oxycodone 30's. Even people with a high tolerance to opiates in general very often throw up and have a hard time with their strength. I was on an anti nausea for three years when I first got on them ten years ago. Majority of patients in a nursing home are much weaker then most of us physically & mentally so you must be careful of what they are given . I think by the way you wrote about them in your words as being SOOOO GOOD is an indication that you are speaking of the high you get from them. If a person that does not have extreme or chronic pain takes meds yes they will feel the effect you speak of. But normally the meds go directly to pain source and the person feels relief more so then a high. I'm just glad you are not in charge of dispensing pain meds where you work ! I'm afraid the client's would all be DEAD !

Yes, I agree with you. AMEN. THIS PERSON IS PATHETIC. As a person with legit pain as you. I can't even get my Opana prescribed anymore because of these stupid people who don't need it and abuse it. Go to a rehab I say to the ***** with the post, not you. I agree with you. I feel the same.

You said it all!!! it's people like this pill-head who make it hard on us. i'm 65 yrs old and would never take an asprin in my day and now i HAVE to take pain meds or suffer every minute of the day. when i see people abusing the way this person is it makes me want to go back to 30 yrs old and kick some a**!

It depends on what type of a urine test you will have to take. If it is a GC/MS lab test it is doubtful morphine would show up as Opana which is oxymorphone. IF it is a urine dip test like you buy at the store Opana might show up on a morphine test if the levels of opana are very very high.

I don't think it has anything to do with the test. Morphine shows up as opiates. Opana is oxymorphone and I don't know if it shows up opiates like hydromorphone does or if it requires a separate test like oxycodone does. I think they might show up the same though. The question is does the opana require a separate test.
