I am going to a pain clinic in 16 days and want to know if I take about 70 mg of liquid methadone will it show up different than Percocets and morphine? I take 2 30 mg morphine and 3 7.5/325 Percocets for breakthrough pain. can I get help please.

I know the answer to this one! Ive been on methadone for 8 years. Methadone requires a separate test/panel from other opiates to find it in urine. 10-15 years ago, i remember people getting drug tested for probation would scout out methadone bc of this fact. Nowadays many tests include a panel that tests for methadone (generally any test that has more than 8 panels). These days that includes a probation drug test and the ones at methadone clinics.
The clinics like to make sure youre on something other than methadone before they start giving you methadone, and also want to differentiate the methadone from other drugs. They will continue to test you during your time in treatment to make sure you are actually taking the methadone and not selling it. And also make sure you are not taking other opiates. So methadone comes up specifically as methadone.

I have been being treated by several doctors over the past 10 years over several back surgeries. I need to be fussed and have been going to a pain clinic for two years. I have been taking methadone and each time I go I take a urine test. I made an agreement not to take any other pain mess while I go there. I do not like methadone and I said I wanted to titrate off of it, BUT in April's test it showed morphine. I was shocked because I had not in any shape or form taken it. For one thing I had an allergic reaction to it a long time ago, so why would I take morphine when I'm trying to get off all pain medication? Can someone tell me why morphing would show up in my urine test when I haven't taken any? I'm 63 years old.

Methadone metabolites might not show up on a morphine only drug screen.
At our doctors, they send the samples away, they don't use dipsticks.

Or maybe you partook of poppyseed bagels?
Methadone is not remotely similar in urine tests as methadone..
Or could they have mixed up your urine tests?
At 63, they aren't going to give you a 100 lines''I must not take morphine'' but they might give you a stern talking to...good luck!
