What pills are you asking about?

Did you mean oral contraceptives that are used to prevent pregnancy?

If so, then no, they will not cause miscarriages or affect future fertility. They only work to prevent pregnancy, while you're actively taking them.

The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and PMS-like symptoms.
