Hi Joe,

To my knowledge, pharmacies do keep track of what prescriptions are being filled under the same name, so if your worried about filling two prescriptions of the same medication within a short period of time and the pharmacy questions you, it might be a good idea to have your doctor call it in on your behalf to justify any possible discrepancies that could arise as a result of filling too early.

On the other hand, if your doctor gave you a prescription for it, then I don't see why the pharmacy wouldn't fill it whether you decide to self pay or go through insurance? I'd still recommend going in person though and seeing what your pharmacist has to say because it seems like their policies are always changing.
