Will Belviq Work For Me If I Am On Methadone

I am on 70mgs of methadone and have gained 65lbs while being on it and cant lose the weight even if my life depended on it! I tried everything from diet and exercise and every diet pill out there. Phentermine did make me lose 10lbs but no more then that even when i continued taking it for months later. So i stopped and gained the 10lbs back and plus some. I wanted to try belviq to help lose weight. I keep trying to research it to see if it works with methadone but cant find a answer. Anyone out there have any luck with belviq while on methadone?

I've been on methadone for pain management for 5 years now, now at 60 mg per day. I, like you, was so desperate to try something to help my weight (I've gained 50 lbs while on Methadone). My doctor prescribed me belviq a few months ago, and I've only lost 8 lbs., and am so incredibly tired all the time bcause they are both depressants. I'll fall asleep right after waking up. Since you like me are on a moderate dose of methadone, I would do more research on other meds before trying belviq. I've had too many side effects from it and lost very little weight for it to be worth while. That's my advice. Good luck to you.
