Will Apo Sulfatrim Cause Welts
UpdatedCan this medication cause welts and itching between the legs and genital area? I've been on these for 8 days now, 2 pills daily. Several days ago a welts formed on each cheek of my behind and now I'm getting them on the front and inside of my legs. Is this a skin reaction from the meds? I react to various meds in a negative way unfortunately.

Hello, Phil! How are you? Has there been any change?
It would be best to have this checked out immediately by a doctor, there is a chance that you are experiencing an allergic reaction. If that is the case, as reported by the NIH, they tend to get worse with repeated exposure, so you night need to stop taking it and switch to a different antibiotic.
I had an allergic reaction to this medication a few years ago and it was horrible.
