Why Do Different Manufacturers Of Pills Have Different Effects

I have just had my generic Tramadol manufacturers switched by Rite-Aide and I am having serious problems with the new one. Rite-Aide says that they cannot get and will not get Tramadol from the former supplier. I cannot afford the non-generic drug. What recourse do I have? I was also told I cannot get a refill from a different pharmacy until this prescription has run out. I cannot take any other pain medication because of extreme sensitivity to them. It is vital that I have Tramadol but cannot take the ones I was just given from having the prescription filled at Rite-Aide. Please advise!

Here in my town I can switch pharmacies for a prescription anytime as long as it still has refills. For example, the pharmacy I was using stopped taking my insurance. I got the insurance company's list of pharmacies that would pay them. I selected Walgreens from the list. I took my pill bottle & insurance card to Walgreens & told them I wanted to switch to them. They called the old pharmacy & did the switch. No questions asked.
They have not misinformed you and were honest.
What types of problems are you having with the new one? It might be easier to get advice, if you are more specific.
The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation, it also carries the risk of being habit forming.
You can get a new refill, if your doctor authorizes it, changes your dose, or dosing schedule.
