Why Can't You Take Ranexa And Multaq Together?

I just started taking Multaq and was told to stop taking Ranexa why? What happens when you take both ? The Ranexa was working very well now i have to stop. I would rather not stop taking Ranexa

It is actually very dangerous to take them both at the same time, it can severely increase the levels of the Ranolozine that your body absorbs and retains, which has the potential to cause QT prolongation and cardiac arrhythmia.

Why does your doctor want you to switch if the one you were on was working fine?
